Pricing

Our approach to estimating drastically differs from other basement contractors. Typically, when a contactor meets with you, they figure their total amount using unit pricing for labor and materials. While labor prices won’t vary much from contractor to contractor, materials will vary greatly! Others provide allowances for specific products/materials and then increase the pricing when a client selects a more expensive item. An example of this is in flooring. Typically, a contractor grade carpet would cost $3.50 per SF with installation. If a client changed to Vinyl Plank flooring (LVP) instead, the material and labor costs could typical run $11.00 per SF. In a 1,000 SF basement, the cost increase would be $7,500!

At Best Basements Denver, we don’t provide you with a "guesstimate."" We give you an exact price proposal. This is done through a process where we partner with you early on.

It starts with a free in-home consultation where we complete a field inspection of the basement to determine the project’s suitability. We also complete a preliminary range-of-cost estimate.

Next, we enter into a professional services agreement where we develop a scope of work, detailed specifications, and product/material selections. From this, we complete the construction drawings. Then we develop a budget, value engineer it if necessary, to provide an exact price proposal with itemized cost breakouts.

The value you receive from this step is: full constructions plans ready to submit, complete product/material selections, exact price, most importantly a clear understanding of the project. This phase typically takes 5-10 hours to complete and we charge $75 per hour for these professional services.

Payment

Unlike most of our competitors, we don’t require a huge deposit of 50% to 60% down. We invoice in four phases as construction is complete. This typically breaks down as follows: 1) framing and MEP rough ins, 2) Drywall, texture, and painting, 3) Doors, Trim, cabinetry, and plumbing, 4) Flooring, finishes, and punch list. You don’t pay unless you’re completely satisfied and all inspections are passed. Additionally, we can arrange financing for your project at competitive rates up to $100K through Hearth.com.

Best Basements Denver will only use the best quality materials and skilled craftsman. We always pull required building permits and complete the work to the owner’s satisfaction. Most importantly, we offer a lifetime workmanship warranty on all basements.

Licensed & Insured

All work is performed by licensed and insured contractors. Not only is Best Basements Denver fully licensed and insured, but all of our subcontractors carry both valid licenses for their trades and general liability insurance.
